Dr. Michael Butts

Dr. Michael D. Butts has served as a teacher and school administrator for the past 9 years in Osborn and Agua Fria Union High School districts while also serving on the board of the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented Children and currently as an elected member of the Roosevelt School Board. Michael holds a Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University and a Masters and Doctorate from Northern Arizona University.

Since serving on a school board while leading as an Assistant Principal, Michael has seen the effects of harmful education policies that impact the lives of students, families, and educators. In his quest to always put his community first, he is now seeking election to become the next Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction.
