Dr. Wells is a leading authority on education reform. Affectionately called ‘America’s Favorite Teacher’ by students and parents, she believes that closing the achievement gap is a moral and economic imperative. She is called to serve underserved communities where rampant poverty exists. As a transformational leader, visionary, and advocate for change; she has dedicated her life to serving inner-city students through education. Monique is an international humanitarian who has been called to serve students in underrepresented schools, communities, and families globally. As an award-winning educator for over 25 years, Monique is a fierce supporter of teachers, students, and parents. She is an expert on school reform, an impactful philanthropist, and an influential educator. Through her work, she has successfully raised test scores for over two decades for scholars with some of the lowest academic levels ranging from PreK-12th grade. She has taught students on every level of education from Prek through 12 grade, college, and graduate school.

She helps strengthen and transform socio-economically depressed school districts with underserved students. With pedagogical interventions, she has effectively raised test scores for English Language Learners (ELL), Special Education (SPED), and General Education students by two and three-grade levels annually. Her mission is to create generational change and opportunity for over one million scholars in impoverished communities to help them successfully matriculate into a college, a trade school, or an entrepreneurship program.
