Dr. Stephen Neal Jr.

Dr. Stephen Neal Jr. is a native of Arizona and a proud education professional with 35 years of experience. Dr. Neal emphasizes compassion, integrity, accountability, open dialogue, and trust as a devoted Christian, husband, father, son, and community servant. He is a candidate for Arizona State Superintendent of Public Instruction for 2026. Dr. Neal has held various roles: former Special Education Director, Co-Director of STEM and Curriculum, Educational Grant Writer, Assistant Director of the Male Rebirth Program, school counselor, school psychologist,and adjunct professor at a community college.

His commitments include empowering students to think critically, promoting high-quality educational resources for all, fostering cultural togetherness, and creating welcoming learning
environments that respect the dignity of all students, teachers, educators, and parents. Dr. Neal is also dedicated to restoring honesty and integrity to the field of education for the benefit of
our children. Additionally, he is a dedicated women’s basketball coach, board member, and advocate for the arts.
